Stayed here one night, 1/23/2015,on a last minute trip. My parents had asked us to come out and offered to pay for our room. We're MLife members so I checked to see if we had any offers, didn't want them to pay an outrageous amount so I decided to go with The Monte Carlo's offer. It was $85, then with taxes and the resort fee it was $123 and some change. We had never stayed here before so we figured why not.
Check in was just a little bit of a hiccup. My parents had come the following day to pay for the room and apparently asked the lady who helped them if there would be any trouble when we arrived and checked in, if they weren't with us. She told them the room was all paid up and there should be no problems. Well there was, we were asked to show the credit card that was used to pay the balance. Well we obviously didn't have it and thankfully one of my parents were with us when we checked in.
The lady who checked us in wasn't very polite about the whole ordeal, which was irritating. I understand they have a policy and there was a mix up when they asked the original lady they dealt with but you're in customer service. Being short and impolite isn't the way to go and reflects badly on your resort.
After that we had no problems. Every other employee we encountered was polite and helpful. Room was average but clean and bed was comfortable. I completely agree with other reviewers in that it's about time the rooms had an update. But for the most part our stay was enjoyable and we might consider staying again.
