| - Probably the worst Lowe's I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with, based on two negative experiences. Home depot is just down the street, I won't waste my family's time any more here.
The first negative experience: do not, under any circumstances, buy your carpet here. Their flooring section personnel are the bottom of the barrel. After buying a house and having five weeks to move in, we thought we'd start early with replacing the carpet. Surely 5 weeks would be enough time? Leave it to this Lowe's location to bungle the job. Call after call to make sure they're on track, I hate having to manage a job you're paying someone else to do. Three weeks into our wait, we get a call: sorry, our estimates were off by $400. Oops! Now we've got to wait while the rest of your carpet comes in, sorry! It finally arrived this past weekend for installation, with us and all of our things piled in the only rooms with flooring, waiting on the install. Contractor did a great job all by his lonesome.
You think I would have learned my lesson... Well, sometimes it takes me a couple turns. Most recently I ordered an online only product. After purchase, it listed the expected delivery date as Monday, yesterday. No email, but I check on the order and online it says "waiting for pick up at the store!" I drive up there to check, and the hobbit behind the counter agrees - says it's here, but we don't have it listed as received. "wanna go check to see?" I ask. Suppose that was too much to ask. Nope, she says. Well, guess I'll drive all the way back home and wait to see if I hear anything. Maybe it's here, maybe not; maybe it'll come in some day, maybe not.
Never again.
