| - This is the best kept secret and most hilarious and entertaining show on the Vegas strip! Located in the Hard Rock hotel, there isn't a bad seat in the small Zombie Burlesque theater.
I wasn't sure WHAT to expect, but my experience from start to finish was awesome. Firstly, I scored a 50% off coupon from the Zombie Burlesque Facebook page (go like them!). Next, when I entered the theater to get my seat in the 10th or so row, the theater attendant asked me if I was alone (yes, I was solo that night), and she marched me right up to the front row and gave me the aisle seat!
The host, Zenoch, was wicked, sly and funny. Each cast member was extremely talented and the live band was great! I don't want to say too much to give any plot spoilers, but the scene is set in the post-nuclear era of the late 1950's. There are a lot of nods to the culture of that era (movies, political climate, etc.) in a comical, sexy, yet loving way. The intelligence behind the show is so subtle that you might almost miss it thanks to the over-the-top hilarity of the on-stage action.
For the person that said the story line was non-existent...I think perhaps that person missed host Zenoch's introduction to the scene setting at the beginning of the show. Read about it at the Zombie Burlesque website.
I laughed SO HARD and had such a good time that my face hurt from all the laughter. This show also has some peak crowd interaction moments.
In all, it is clever, hilarious, sexy, harmless (the zombies don't quite bite you) fun! See this show!
