| - B for customer service and A+ for coffee, D for food. Had higher hopes for this place with all the 5 star reviews on yelp and the fact that there was a wait to get a table. It was our first time here and we had to valet our car because there was no room in the parking lot. We didn't mind because it was free, just had to tip of course.
Very cool gift shop and coffeeshop attached the main dining room with tons of eclectic gifts and food items not to mention fresh cheeses and wine. They even had a takeout counter with fresh sandwiches and pizza if you didnt have time to sit down and eat.
We sat down after a short wait and ordered some beers and water. There was a table that sat after us nearby that got their waters before we did, not a good start. Our beers arrived and still no water, we flagged down a random waiter and finally got some waters and our waitress came back a few minutes later to take our order.
Pizza arrived and looked good for the most part, but when we picked up a slice it was drenched in oil but we decided to give it a try regardless.Ughh, no seasoning, barely any tomato sauce and soggy crust. It was just not edible for our taste. We complained and they were very polite about taking it back and taking it off the bill for us. They even sent the chef out and he explained to us that its very oily because they put oil in the dough and more oil on the sheet pan. He also explained that their style of pizza does not have much tomato sauce and they don't season their toppings. He said that their pizza is not for everyone but thats what makes it unique.
I can respect that and I appreciate them not charging us and coming out to see if there was anything they could do to make it better. We paid for our drinks and proceeded to go eat at my favorite pizza joint "pomo pizzeria napoleatana". Thats my kinda pizza.
Not hating on this place, I just prefer a seasoned, non greasy pizza from a brick oven with a crispy crust. Won't be coming back for their pizza, but their coffee with housemade nut milk I would get again and again, delicious!
