  • Dearly Beloved, we are gathered here today to talk about a great show called Purple Reign!! Purple Reign is a tribute to the music of Prince and the his movie Purple Rain. The Prince tribute artist stays in character and you feel like you are watching Prince. He does a great job with the singing, dancing, attitude, costume and makeup to pull off the look. The actors portraying Morris Day and Jerome were great performers too, they provided an element of comedy and acted as the adversary to Prince. I liked them as much as I liked Prince. They sang " the Bird" and did the "password is what" scene from the movie. They did a great job singing and dancing!! The guys in the band were talented as well and played their characters well. All the performers had costumes that made you feel transported back to 1985. Great job to the cast!! I would watch this show again because it was so much fun and energetic!! I saw four shows last week (Seether, Blue Man Group, Absinthe and Purple Reign) and Purple Reign was the one I enjoyed the most of all!!
