NO. Just... NO.
My friend got tickets to a show here in January, and the concert was last month. Knowing the show was going to be packed, I initiated contact with the venue to set up interpreters for me and my friend. Although the venue had more than 7 months to set up the accommodations, they were anything but satisfactory: the lighting was mediocre, there was NO elevation for the interpreters, and nearly NO line of sight for the Deaf patrons. After discussing my concerns with the director of accommodations, he wrangled a small platform that was about 2inches off the ground for us to stand on... but that still did little to help. When I expressed my concerns, the director even went as far as to say, "well would you rather me put you in the seats you should be in?" (Which is not only illegal, but insensitive to the PAYING customer).
As a Deaf consumer, I feel that I gave them more than enough time to set up proper accommodations (I mean... 7 months.... come on....) and they were begrudging and unwilling to work with me. I am appalled at how my friend and I were treated and will not be back.
