| - We adopted a chihuahua mix puppy last year, and our vet told us to wait til after her first heat cycle to get her spayed.
This happened two months ago, and I was able to get a voucher for a discounted spay, due to her breed.
Making the appointment was easy. The lady I spoke to was very kind, and gave me all of the information we needed for my baby girl's appointment.
Last week, we had the appointment.
I got a call halfway through the day saying that my pup was ready to go home, and we could pick her up any time.
When we got there, we were told that my pup had early pyometra, an infection in the uterus that can be fatal to dogs! I had no idea. I was very upset, thinking that I had missed signs or symptoms, but every person we spoke to assured me that I didn't miss anything, that dogs don't usually show signs until its too late.
They gave us very detailed instructions on how to care for our girl, and how to help her heal and recover well.
This was an awesome experience, and I would recommend them to anyone needing to spay/neuter their pet.
