| - Attending the Backstreet Boys concert was my first experience in the Axis theater, and I must say, I really liked the layout! There isn't a bad seat in the entire venue!
The seats at the Axis theater are arranged in a semi-circle formation, with the stage at the epicenter. Each row of seats is lower than the next as you walk closer towards the stage, but the levels are really shallow, meaning while you're sitting, you can easily see over the person infront of you; my girlfriend is 5'3, and she could see over the taller individual sitting in front her. We were sitting towards the left side of the venue, and could still see roughly 85% of the performance on stage.
The only downside to the venue is when the performance is over. The way the Axis theater is arranged, it bottlenecks into a narrow corridor before opening back up into Planet Hollywood. A minor complaint, but I feel that this would be typical of a lot of different venues. I think where it's different is that once you've emerged from the corridor, there's a bar right in front of you, and it causes people to linger and block others who are trying to pass by.
Overall, the Axis theater is a really nice venue, and Id happily go back for another show in the future.
