  • Las Palmas is an excellent little Mexican grocery in Brookline. Whereas most Mexican specialty stores have a lot of pre-packaged food and Mexican sourced kitchen and laundry items, Las Palmas is, although small, a full service grocery. Not only do they stock dry and canned goods, but they also sell produce at reasonable prices and, as their name suggests, they have an excellent meat section selling Mexican cuts of beef, pork, and chicken as well as pre-seasoned taco and fajita meat. The glory of Las Palmas doesn't stop with groceries, however. Around lunch time, they open an on street taco stand that sells some of the best tacos in Pittsburgh along with an incredible salsa bar. On weekends, they also sell homemade tamales that rival those sold in Mexico. If you are craving authentic Mexican food, or just want to pick up some quick groceries, stop by Las Palmas Carniceria.
