  • Just had my first halal guys experience. Meh. Not sure what the hype is all about. Mzaar down the street is way better in my opinion. Or ghazale, or many other shawarma type places all over the city. When I first heard halal guys was opening here, I had doubts, since we already have awesome shawarma and greek joints here. My intuition was right. Just goes to show how good our ethnic food in Toronto is, compared to most cities. Maybe the NY original is better than this one, but whatever.
