  • This is located just around the corner from its sister-bar, the Brant House. We were directed over here one night when we showed up at Brant House with about 30 people, way too many to fit in on a busy Saturday. I'm really glad the bouncers told us to come here instead, because unlike Brant House there was loads of room for dancing in West. The DJ was probably the best I heard in my 2 weeks in Toronto, playing a great mix of hiphop, rock remixes, and techno, and never spending too much time on one genre. The floor is laid out nicely too, so there are several large areas for dancing and a lounge area as well if you want to take a break. The bartenders were ok here, but the drinks were cheap comparatively. I was told by them there was a $40 minimum for having a credit card tab, which has to be the highest I've ever heard of, but still recommended if you're from out of town and don't want to deal with foreign currency. I highly recommend coming here if you don't want to wait to get into the more popular clubs in Toronto. The dress code also seemed to not be as strictly enforced as some of the others in the area.
