| - The best thing about this place is the amount of product from many different cultures. They had everything I needed to make a new Udon recipe I found, but the organization is a little confusing. Many of the products I needed were in the aisle labeled "Japanese", but the seven-spice was all the way across the store in an aisle not labeled specifically for spice.
I know that a lot of my confusion is due to me not knowing Japanese (or any of the several other languages from the other cultures represented here). But asking for help is kinda hit-or-miss as well. I've asked for help from various shelf-stockers, usually met with confused looks. Granted my Japanese pronunciations could probably use work, and asking in English does no better, but aside from that I'm likely asking someone who speaks primarily Chinese, or otherwise. I've been here twice, and ended up being directed to the same associate each time to help me find the last thing which I've probably passed two or more times.
The thing is, if you are looking for an oriental ingredient, or produce, or whatever, chances are very good they have it here. I really like the place, but it just might take me a while to find what I'm looking for, lol! Your mileage may vary.
