The barbershop is a fun place where Black dudes go to watch the game, talk smack to each other, and get fresh for the weekend.
It must be different for white people, because they always look at me funny when I talk about how much I love getting my hair cut.
All the guys here are friendly. They're going through a 9 month program to get a barber's license, so a haircut here is only $8. Most of them have been cutting for years on the side, so they generally know what they're doing. At $8 a cut, I can even afford to leave a generous tip.
I always have the best line-up in the room, andI have the boys at NBC to thank. Highly recommended, although I should specify that it's mostly Black and Mexican guys in there, so be prepared for an "urban" feel, if you are a person that would need to "prepare" themselves for a situation like that.
