| - This was a pretty good burger and a convenient informal place to eat in Las Vegas. Because I had previously eaten at Huber Keller's flagship restaurant Fleur in San Francisco, my expectations were really high. That place is fabulous. Here, well its a burger bar and not the best of burger bars.
The restaurant is very noisy. I know that is the fashion for gastro pub type places, but for us, it was hard to talk. The burgers and toppings were terrific. I liked the reduction sauce that came with my burger. The service was terrific too. But the buns were ordinary. The french fries were good, as good as McDonalds, but not great, and the onion rings were disappointing -- maybe frozen, i don't know.
Father's Office in West LA, or the Back Abbey or Eureka in my hometown of Claremont CA get everything right, the burger the bun, the sides -- Burger Bar has a ways to go to match the best of this genre.
