I stayed here back in July 2015. I didn't feel like staying on the Strip this time around. I had a rental car and chose SpringHill Suites.
The hotel is next to the Las Vegas Convention Center. It's convenient if you are there on business. I just like being in an older part of the city where things are quieter with less neon signage!
I recall checking in. I was instructed where to go to park my car. You basically go around the building to access the ramp to the parking lot, which was fun to drive. You need your room card to get access in and out of the lot.
My room was comfortable. I had a decent bed. I slept well on it. There were two sinks in one part of the bathroom with the toilet. The shower was next door. I liked the setup.
There was plenty of room on the desk for my laptop and various electronic charging devices. It also was a good place to store my purchases!
I had a friend stay overnight for one evening. The living room area had a sofa that doubled as a bed. She was happy and comfortable sleeping on it. I had asked room service to bring up some extra pillows and blankets for her. The kind man came up within minutes of my call. I was impressed!
The desk was also a nice divider between where my friend and I were sleeping. It was a nice touch.
You get free breakfast here. I loved the waffle maker. There was actually a woman making the waffles for everyone, which was great. The food was yummy and there was plenty of room to sit, even during the long July 4th weekend.
Staff here were friendly and accommodating. I recall bringing a drink from Starbucks with me from the car. I accidentally busted the straw. I stopped by the front desk to ask whether I could get a replacement straw. The woman walked and got me a new straw. Nice!
I'd definitely stay here again. It truly felt like my home away from home.
