  • I wasn't too impressed with Hilton Garden. There were some strong points, like the look of the lobby and the friendliness of the employees, and quite a few low points, like the options offered for breakfast and the flat pillows. When I first walked through the front doors, I was amazed at how beautiful the hotel was. There are plenty of couches and beautiful potted plants all around. The kitchen is literally right next to the front desk which is where breakfast is served. There are two options: the full breakfast for $9.95 and the continental breakfast for $6.95. The full breakfast allows you to order eggs any way you like, bacon, sausage, and a variety of other freshly cooked items. The continental breakfast includes everything on the self-serve counter like juices, fruits, yogurt, pastries, and make-it-yourself waffles. Of course, the full breakfast includes everything in the continental breakfast as well. I must say paying for the continental breakfast every morning felt like a rip off especially when all I had was a cup of yogurt and a piece of toast. Ridiculous... The room I stayed in had two queen size beds, a flat television screen, a microwave, a fridge, and a Keurig coffee maker with complimentary K-cups of coffee and tea. The bathroom is roomy with plenty of towels of various sizes as well as personal amenities like soaps, make up remover, and a shower cap. The hair dryer was light and powerful while the shower head produced a decent stream of water, although it did leak a bit. The one thing I hated were the pillows on the bed. They were all flat and way too soft. I was plumping them up all night long, losing hours of sleep every night. Lighting in the rooms were low, but I did appreciate the number of outlets near the bed, making for easy charging of my phone and laptop. The Wifi, however, was absolutely abysmal. Not only did you have to sign in every 24 hours, but the signal was completely unreliable. There were some moments when I couldn't even sign onto it. The hotel also has a small gym, a pool, as well as an office with public computers and a printer. In terms of pricing, it's what you would normally expect for hotels, but I really expected more from Hilton Garden. If they put more thought into their rooms like they do the lobby, I'm sure they could be absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, they are just average for me.
