This place was soo hard to find or we just suck at directions? We were staying at the Palazzo and we took the Grand Canal Shoppes to try to go here and definitely got lost for about 40 minutes. We were about ready to give up and eat somewhere else but we pushed through. We got there at about 2:40pm only to find that they close at 3pm for brunch. But alas! They still seated a group of 8 for brunch which I was very thankful for :) We actually ended up staying until almost 5pm when they open for dinner...which kinda sucks for them, but they were so great they didn't even kick us out!
The restaurant had a very classic feel to it and the big windows on one side show a great view of the garden and the pool. We got seated by the windows which was great. Our server was wonderful very helpful and a great attitude. A little slow at times...but maybe we were just all starving.
I ordered from the specials on the blackboard: the breakfast sandwich..$18.50(I think)...It was more than half a plateful of fries and the other half is a waffle sandwich with sausage, melted cheese and egg(your way). And omg! That waffle was literally the best waffle I have ever had! I would go back just for those waffles! At first I was looking for syrup, but they already put it on the waffle for you, in the perfect amount of sweetness but not too soggy. It was great.
This was a really great experience! I had a bite of my family's food around the table, everything was delicious...corned beef hash, pork loin benedict, the american breakfast..the croissant!
