  • I don't drink coffee, so if you're looking for an elaboration on how any coffee-related drink tastes, go elsewhere. That said, I like this Starbucks location. Definitely a neighborhood joint for us DV'ers, I go in here at least twice a week for breakfast or the occasional midday iced tea. The sandwich they have where it's an egg white, cheese, and low-fat turkey bacon really hits the spot and gets a person's blood-sugar right to where they want it to be. And you're eating protein that tastes good! It doesn't hurt either that the English muffin used has a hint of sweetness to it. Only thing about these sandwiches, and this is a problem that Starbucks has across all its locations, is that they don't keep enough of these on hand. Should you wake up late and expect to get one or two of these after 10am, you're probably out of luck. The unsweetened iced tea is a welcome drink. There's a new size they offer that gives you 31 ounces of whatever cold drink you want. It's a lot to imbibe, and you'll probably have to visit a restroom at least twice because you got the largest size, but the choice is a nice one to have. They make it right and quick, and always with a smile on their face. Now, that could be due to the fact that I'm one of their least-difficult customers ever, but they genuinely seem to be happy to serve. And they don't steer away from banter if you feel like throwing them a line to respond to every now and then. So Starbucks is overpriced? Sure they are. Go somewhere else or make your own if you don't want to pay for it. Going to Starbucks is the same reason you wear Levi's and not Wranglers: you know the brand, you know the quality, and you like both. You're in there for a reason, and it's not because they shut down your mom-and-pop coffee shop. Consumers have a way of dictating to large companies such as this what they like. And they like Starbucks. It's the market, so I wouldn't recommend continuing to be a moron about it. ###
