  • Last year when I celebrated my 30th birthday I went to Jump Time in Scottsdale, but this year they were closed on Mondays (I guess I had made it on one of their "open for spring break" Mondays last year) but Flip Dunk was open on this Monday so Flip Dunk it was! Yes, I am 31. Yes, I came to a trampoline park to celebrate my birthday. Judge all you want, but it's a BLAST so don't knock it till you try it :) Anyway, my husband and I came here around 2pm on a Monday and it was completely empty. In fact, the whole time I was the only one jumping around except for one kid who showed up around halfway through the hour. This seems to be the sweet spot when the kids haven't gotten out of school yet, and after the preschool kids have gone home. My only other experience at a place like this was last year at Jump Time, and I have to say this place was WAY better. Jump time smells way worse-like, that gross combo of candy + vomit that can only exist in a space like this. Jump time also had way more people, although not a ton at the same time/day as here, but again, Jump time was not open on Mondays outside of "spring break" time so Flip Dunk wins points if only for that. Jump time DOES have longer, more "connected" trampolines compared to Flip Dunk. Flip Dunk has padding in between any substantial amount of trampoline so you can't really run down a long length of trampoline like you can at Jump Time, but the trampolines are equally bouncy at both places despite the padding in between them at Flip Dunk. There were 2 separate basketball areas, one with a shorter basket and one with a taller basket, and a whole area that reminded me of my childhood gymnastics arena. I didn't check it out as I was a bit preoccupied with jumping on the trampolines (which were always my favorite part of my childhood gymnastics experience) but it seemed like it had a bit of everything. The staff here were really friendly and super engaging, especially with the one little kid who showed up during my time here. The kid was dropped off by his parent/guardian and the teenage guys who worked here were playing dodgeball with him and goofing around having a good time. I heard they also have an adults-only workout class on Saturday mornings from 730-830, and although it's a bit too early in the AM for me personally, I love that it's adults only because nothing sounds worse than being here when it's crowded with kids. It was around $10-$11 for me to jump for an hour so I'd say it was MORE than worth it. I will definitely be back on a Monday around this time for some solo jumping time!!
