If you're going here, it's either because you like free stuff, you have children, you're staying at the hotel, you're drunk or...well, that's probably it. I love free sh*t, really really really LOVE it. Who doesn't? That being said, I can't knock it too hard since it was free and it wasn't like I wasted money. I just had to walk my lazy butt there.
I loved the coy fish and the flamingos. Those were the highlights for me. Coy fish are absolutely breath taking in real life -- I'd only ever seen the tattoo versions before. There was a few other species to see, but I'd say about 1/15th of a zoo or any other type of place that features animals. It seemed a little run down and could use a little face lift. Some of the placards to read about the species is worn from age and the sun making them hard to read. It's a damn shame as that's my favorite part about it. Otherwise, it's a great free location to check out.
