| - I was shown an apartment with carpet, when I asked if my apartment would have carpet I was told it would. I move in and it's all nasty fake "wood" flooring. The bathroom was disgusting when I moved in.
Within 2 minutes of walking in the door I noticed the roaches. Almost three months into living here with weekly treatments I demand to talk to the manager and they determine the apartment directly behind me is infested so bad that you can see four or five roaches walking around their window at any given time from the outside. They finally treated that apartment and got the situation under control, not taken care of 100%, just under control.
They make you pay for cable as a condition of living here. What it is is that a lot of people used to steal cable, so the cable company makes the management buy bulk cable for everyone. Well, now Cox, which SUCKS if you need Internet, is going all digital and therefore nobody will be able to steal cable anymore. Instead you must sign up for their crappy digital box or lose service while still having to pay for it. These people won't even let me stop paying for this stupid cable service that I don't want.
I'm now six months into living here and my apartment got flooded out from above. All they did was mop it up. Water got into my light in the closet and I was told to remove everything so they could send a contractor to fix it. It's been 10 days and still nobody has come.
I am contacting a lawyer on Monday to see if I can get out of my lease. I hate this place. You WILL have roaches. EVERYBODY. HERE. HAS. ROACHES. The apartments are disgusting. The bathrooms always smell like poop because the plumbing is terrible. Silverfish and roaches will be your roommates.
The police are constantly here for one thing or another. Homeless people live in the common areas and pilfer the wifi by the pool, yep they actually have wifi by the pool and laundry room. The laundry room always smells like death and half the machines do not work. The only plus about this place is wifi poolside and a decent pool, which is closed all the time for who knows what.
The office staff are mostly nice, The rent is cheap, but not as cheap as they tell you up front. The base price is for the upstairs 3rd floor units and the one bedrooms and studios are poorly designed.
There is always broken glass in the parking area and often on the walkways from people breaking their single pane windows doing lord knows what, or from being broken into or having loud fights. People are always loud at night.
There are constantly chicken bones, steak bones, trash, dog shit and random litter throughout the grounds.
When the mailman puts your mail in somebody else's box, the tenant with that box will put your mail above the mailboxes and the maintenance crew throws it all in the trash.
I've had crack whores knocking on my door, running around the parking area. I've seen cars hit other cars and speed off, probably not insured anyway... I have seen the maintenance guys drop furniture from the third floor to the ground when cleaning out apartments where the tenant split without taking their crap.
The tennis court is always full of rocks... There are signs that say there is a basketball court, I asked about this when I first made my initial visit, and the lady pointed at the building by the pool, there is NO basketball court, but she did not bother to say anything. The gym closes at 5pm, so I've never even been in there.
Overall, I'd say if you are looking to save money, after the real prices are revealed you can do better else wear. But seriously folks, this place is nasty! Everything is filthy. The sign at the front says, "we are almost full, come see why." The only thing it is full of is roaches. In six months I've had three different people above me, so don't worry, turnover is high. I hate this place. I seriously seriously hate this place.
Did I mention roaches, filth and nastiness??? NASTY
