Heartbreak central.
First, the bad:
This hotel needs to be renovated from the ground up. Carpets pulling up from the floor, worn out looking furniture and kitchenette facilities. It appears as though a family reunion company books regular drunken junkets in the hotel, so don't dare stay here on a Friday or Saturday night unless you plan to involve security personnel.
The good:
The staff. They go out of their way to make your stay comfortable (or tolerable, depending on how you look at it). The included breakfast buffet is a bargain, and the staff there (and at the nightly happy hour) couldn't be friendlier. There is a limited, but welcome, grocery store in the attached building that is open until 9pm on weeknights. They sell beer and wine.
If only the physical property met the standards of the staff - this would be a great place to stay.
