  • Honestly, I just left here feeling sick. I came in today to get my hair done for my birthday. I checked all morning online to see if there was a wait. It said there was no wait. I went in and checked in. The girl at the front desk told me the next available stylist was some guy named Shaun or something like that. I had seen online that Claudine was highly recommended and so I asked how long a wait it would be to see her. The receptionist told me she had appointments all day. This was very confusing because supposedly this place doesn't take appointments. I tried to clarify. I said, so you do take appointments? And she said no. And I said, but she has appointments.... Yes. Well, if you come in, you can make an appointment for color with her, but generally we don't take appointments.... This was all a little weird. I felt like I was in an episode of seinfeld. So decided to give the guy a chance. I went over to talk with him and he seemed bored and disinterested. I showed him a picture of the cut I wanted and he proceeded to tell me how I don't look like the girl in the picture so it wouldn't look like that on me.... I understand that. He said because my hair was curly, it would be shorter when he cut it. This was huge news to me....not. I felt like he was being condescending. I know how curly hair works, I've had it all my life. I showed him pictures of my last haircut I liked and told him I liked the cut and color in that picture. He then tells me their pricing is misleading, that although it says short hair cuts are 29 ish dollars on the wall, his start at 65, although it says color is 65, his starts at 100. Uhhhhh. So let me get this straight.... You're a shop that has fixed pricing and no appointments but the pricing is not fixed and you do take appointments but only secretly.... What??? I got up and left. I talked to Claudine later on the phone and she was somewhat apologetic. She said they are a corporate franchise but that the corporate rules don't work in this market. I told her that they should maybe consider not being a part of the franchise. I also told her that with the way I was treated today, I would never go back and I wouldn't recommend their business to anyone. The stylist seemed 100% disinterested in doing my hair and now I'm 100% disinterested in getting my hair done at this establishment.
