| - To people who want to move into Enclave:
It is a sad story, my story about living in Enclave University.
Have to say rent an apartment here is the most stupid decision I have ever made in my life. I end up rather breaking the lease and pay the penalty to leave here.
First, the front desk agents showed me the 1b&b model room. That is a fraud, the model room is completely different from the real apartments they rent out. They told me that 2B2b rooms were not available to show us since their occupancy were so high. (Lies again).
On 7/28, the day I was scheduled to move in. The agent told me the apartment had not been cleaned and not ready to move in. This is the first time, I heard that you don't have a room to move into on the day you supposed to move in. I had to call the moving company to delay everything arranged and pay the cancellation charge!
Since my lease with previous condominium end on 7/31 and had no time to find other apartment, I had to move into Enclave and I regretted about this since the moment I open the door of the room. Countertop, surfaces, and insides of all cabinets, shelves are full of dust. You can smell molds and dust inside the room. I even found rotten vegetables and cooked noodles in the cabinets of the kitchen. The carpet was not clean at all. The shelves in both bathrooms were dirty as hell and you can see there were pieces of newspapers and sticky stains all over them. Inside the closet of the bedroom, the hanger suddenly broke after I hanged some clothes on there. The power outlet in the living room and 2 bedrooms were not working. I had to write a list of more than 20 things need to be fixed. The most disgusting thing is the AC outlets, full of dusts and you can even see dead bugs on the AC outlet covers in the bathrooms. I have pictures attached here. You will know what I am talking about.
Also, the parking lot at night is so dark. If you get rapped or robbed here, no-one will see anything. I don't know if this breaks the building code or any regulation. Please be careful.
Also, the window screens and screen for the patio door were not even installed. You can imagine all the dust and bug flew in your rooms. They promised to have them ready in 2 month, however, until today 10/23, they said "Oh, we will call you when they are ready. We are still waiting for the vendor to send us the material" You can only wait. According to her, the screens and all other things that are not mandatory to have in your unit, you need to solve the problem yourself.
The property manager, named Lesle, I was telling her all the problems I encountered with since moving in. I understand that she does not understand what is customer service and doesn't care about the tenants. However, she doesn't even know she should respect her customers. I mean she get paid because we pay the rent right? She also claimed that making sure the apartment is livable and clean is not their responsibility. We, as tenants, need to clean up "our own" masses. I told her I found out rotten hamburgers and cigarettes in and under the dish washer, and I found stinky and dirty mobs in the drain tube under the kitchen tub. And she asked me why you didn't check them right after you move in. First, I was so confused that why making sure AC and all equipments like stove, oven, and dishwasher are clean is not their responsibility; Second, I admired that she could change the subject so stiffly. So what she meant was that no matter how dirty the apartment they rent out, she does not care and that is not her responsibility to care.
The tenants living here are not the kind of people you want to have around your children. Be extra careful. Always leave a light on!
Don't live here unless you exhausted your choices and money. You will feel that you are trapped and deceived!
