Last night was my foray into Loving Hut.
Definitely an interesting place. The TV was annoying, the whole propaganda film for the supreme master was super annoying.
On to the important part. I ordered the Golden Vermicelli. It was delicious. Let me back up, I absolutely love vermicelli salad dishes at Vietnamese restaurants and I am a carnivore HOWEVER, I am deadly allergic to fish and shellfish and I can't eat at those restaurants anymore out of fear of cross contamination but when I learned of the Loving Hut, I was stoked! I was very excited and I inhaled the meal. Easily could have removed the faux-meat but it was delicious.
My sister ate the same as I did.
My daughter got the Sweet and Sour Divine and she inhaled it.
I ordered the Iced Chai and it was AWFUL. Hellllooo cinnamon and no other flavors.
The appetizer soup was bland.
The banana fritters were OUT OF THIS WORLD. However, nothing on the menu or in the pictures indicated any kind of red sauce so when they came out (an hour later), they had a red syrup and I asked what it was and she informed me it was strawberry syrup and whoops! I am allergic to strawberries and it had to get remade. I should have said something but I did not see anything indicated on the menu that they did this...so, on them!
Overall, food was good but prices too high and service waaaayyy too slow. I had my bowl of noodles for 20 minutes before my daughter's food came out so she was munching on cukes until then.
Would I return? Sure. It was fun but the TV? CHANGE THE CHANNEL!!!!
