Wow, when I die...is this heaven? Almost
The grounds of Royal Palms is heavenly and the casitas are very well appointed. You cannot hear a peep from the outside, once you close your door. The entire staff is super friendly - almost cult-like, in a good way.
The pool is small, but peaceful - the poolside servers are always there with your ice water w/ lemon. Order the Royal Palmer, which is their house cocktail. Very refreshing, yet strong. Downside of the pool ambiance is the staticky radio. For a place like Royal Palms, you would think they would install a better sound system with some down tempo music in loop.
Other downside is their pillows - too soft and flat. I kept meaning to call the front desk to ask for firmer pillows. I'm sure they would have some.
Other than that - The Royal Palms is pretty close to perfect, sans any car envy when your Honda Insight is sandwiched between a Lambo and a Ferrari.
