rev:text	My son and I went here for lunch. The Elbow Room originated on Ellsworth Ave and then moved to Walnut St where it had closed. They reopened March 2nd. We were greeted by a nice hostess and an exceptional waitress. She was extremely attentive to our needs and offered suggestions to us. Normally I would order a hamburger since that is what i used to get here but I saw they had a crab cake salad with asparagus. I asked our waitress if it was real crab cake. She told me it was but the breading was their own. I ordered that with a bowl of French onion soup. My son ordered the Maryland opened faced chicken sandwich with bruschetta and had a bowl of chili. She told me that their ice tea was fresh and home made so I opted for that. The portion sizes were generous and both our meals were delicious. I loved the asparagus mix with the crab cake and it came with a lemon mustard dressing which gave it the right amount of zest to it. The restaurant is small. Has one main bar for happy hour and there is also a wine bar with bottles of wine on shelves towards the left of it. By the time we left the place was packed. Prices are reasonable as well for the food. It is located directly across from the Harris grill. Bike parking is available on the next cross street and to my understanding if you park in one of those permit areas in Shadyside you do get in our case two hours of free parking which made it nice for a Sat visit. Will definitely come again to try out their other offerings.
