Call me a less than sophisticated diner. I went on a Wednesday evening alone (in town for CES). I sat at the bar. I ate only appetizers and loved all three: a shrimp salad, a sushi roll and some prawns. It was a pleasure watching the two sous-chefs and the line cooks do their work. I took time talking to them; they responding in kind. My waiter and servers were polite and engaging. I would recommend this restaurant highly, but it is rather expensive. I have a tough time paying $55 for appetizers and tap water for one. That's the only reason I don't rate Roy's as excellent.
