We played an afternoon round at Boulder Creek in February- the weather was quite hospitable, and the course was in good shape. It's a reasonably challenging but not impossible course, with plenty of interesting situations including some massive waste bunkers. The greens did not seem unreasonably fast and seemed to break a bit less than they might appear. Probably the only downside was the pace of play was a bit slow (might have been us), so we finished 18 in near darkness. Definitely worth a visit if you're golfing in Vegas and don't want to pay the price for an in-town round.
