  • So the wife and I are taking a little Staycation in Tempe this weekend and decide to hit Mill Ave on a Saturday night. THIS is a first for me, being in my 40's. I've never had the desire to hang out in College town on a weekend night. We LOVED the Handlebar, it was one of the least obnoxious bars on Mill. Sorry bass pumping techno music or hip hop doesn't do it for me. We laughed and gave the doorman shit when he asked for our ID's........REALLY? We're the oldest ones in here!!! We gladly gave him our ID's and must of caught the attention of the manager on duty, before we got our first drink, shots were sent over! YEAH!! Bar staff was great all night, great selection of beer, we didn't order any food, we didn't want to ruin our buzz. We liked it so much, we came back and started Sunday Funday here! The only thing I can say bad about this place is the Lilith fair, depressing music on Sunday, it was a 180 from Saturday night.
