  • Oh, man. Large hunks of meat served table-side. Is there anything more beautiful than that? Nah. Came here in a party of 12 to kick off a bachelor party weekend. A bunch of dudes sitting around the table drinking whiskey and eating prime rib sounds like a pretty good way to start. We had two servers who were very good with their recommendations and explaining what all the options were. Earlier in the year, I had been to House of Prime Rib in SF, and I felt like Lawry's was incredibly similar in its degree of service and traditions. Gotta love it. Pretty much all of us went for the prime rib dinner with Yorkshire pudding, creamed spinach and mashed potatoes, with the spinning bowl salad. I went with the Diamond Jim Brady cut, which was the largest, duh. There seems to be a lot of pomp and circumstance with all of the courses and how everything is served, but when it comes down to it, the food all just tastes really good, which is likely why it's so popular. The prime rib is cooked perfectly, the creamed spinach is delicious, and the Yorkshire pudding is unbelievably rich and comforting. We skipped dessert, but the desserts did look good, spying the neighboring tables. Service was pretty attentive throughout the meal, and our servers managed to keep up with our copious drink order, which was very impressive. Prices were fairly reasonable for a steakhouse near the Strip, and it came out to about $75 a person, with a few drinks on each person's tab. Not too shabby. An excellent choice for reasonably priced meats, especially amongst all the high-priced steakhouses on the Strip. Seems like I'll be in Vegas for a few bachelor parties in the future, so I'll be more than likely to recommend Lawry's.
