I'm not quite sure how we came by this place but we've been here a few times now for seafood and I cannot complain on quality at all. It is a restaurant and market. My understanding is that they do supply other restaurants with their seafood and I did hear a rumor that they fly their seafood in daily. I may be entirely incorrect.
The last time we were in we grabbed a few pounds of shrimp since I wanted to make some Mexican shrimp cocktail, we also ordered some cocktail shrimp to tie us over until my masterpiece was prepared. The cocktail shrimp was great! I know, how can one go wrong? It is possible and luckily for us, the cocktail shrimp was beautiful and not all dinky looking like you'd get in a grocery store ring. I was prepared to clean shrimp shoots, knowing that I'd picked up a pound of raw shrimpos. Ha! They had already been cleaned and all that was left was to peel them. Normally, I would expect some minor fishiness only because we live in the desert and I know they didn't come out of the ocean in back. Honestly, not even a hint of ammonia at all.
It's a shame that there aren't more people dining in when we go in because I want to see this place stick around. We'll have to just go in and sit down for a meal at some point and really check it out. As far as the market portion of the place? On point!
