As a former barista and supervisor, people make beverages with lack of regard to standard when to manager is not present. I watch shift supervisors airate drinks mid steam (as opposed to at the beginning to make the best environment for the milk). Sometimes teas are not shaken, and coffee and creme base is not added to the blended beverages at the right time.
It's sad that I have to be very conscious of who makes my drink if I want it to be good. Making beverages right would make people happier.
I've committed myself to getting iced beverages knowing that I probably won't get a decent hot beverage, albeit I often get too much ice unless I don't ask for light ice.
Thankfully the store is spacious and the staff is nice... But again... Coffee is not a factory farm product. The baristas at green valley and warm springs are much better trained and consistent
