| - I would say look around before considering joining this gym right now. When I joined they stressed the importance of customer service, that is important to me. when you are a prospect for them, they shower you with attention and lull you into a false sense of comfort. Read, read, read, the contract carefully. Had I know the service was going to be so poorly, I would have requested a 1 month to test out first then decided from there. I don't require much customer service, but when I need service it would be nice to get it.
In my week trial, they had a phenominal genuine Zumba instructor, By phenominal I mean they actually Zumba with the latin flair, she guides you and you can keep pace. I was so impressed and knew this was the class I would attend the most, and shortly afterwards signed up with some friends. When I went back all excited for my class (I had dragged some friends along too) I came to find out that was a stand in. As I waited for the class to start I overheard some regulars there raving about the stand in instructor and they were looking to see where she worked to go there...I thought no biggie this instructor would be just as good..........Oh my, this instructor did very little Latin Zumba and lots of hip hop and at times it seemed she was making things up .... I decided to ask at the front desk where I could contact her? To make a long story short, I was given many names and finally I got a name and email. So I write the person that plans the class schedules there and I have yet to get a response to my email, the telephone messages even when I called the other gym she also attends.
When you are at the front desk, they really don't pay much attention to you and when they decide to acknowledge you (after chatting with their collegues about non related work & nonesense) it almost seems at times they are annoyed you came up there to ask anything. I'm sure there are other employees that are attentive, I just haven't had the pleasure of speaking with them. I will post an update in the near future
