| - My friend and I go out for brunch st least once a month, and we used to eat here about as often as I could convince her to make the extra drive. We stopped by recently and I was a little shocked at how the mighty have fallen. There's almost always a wait, which I expected, but what I didn't expect was standing in front of the person at the register, waiting an awkward few minutes to be acknowledged. A table clear, seated quickly, friendly waitstaff, prompt coffee. Except we had to grab her and ask for normal cream as all that was left was flavored coffee mate. Whoops--we missed the fact that there was no silverware to stir the coffee. Had to ask for that too. Well, maybe my old fav breakfast would save it. Alas, no.
Biscuit rubbery, not flaky, sweet potato hash unbelievably over spiced, fruit side had browning pineapple and turning melon. Ugh. But the scrambled eggs were perfectly done, although I had to add pepper and salt, weird considering the hash.
For the first time ever, I didn't bother taking leftovers home. I don't think I'll be back anytime soon, not with so many other great neighborhood options.
