As a RN, I understand how chaotic and busy it is working in this field and you get burnt out after a while. But even in other outpatient clinic this was one of the most unprofessional places I've been to ever.
The reason why I went there was only because my nasty cold symptoms were still there after a week (coughing up green mucous). The triage/front desk lady was nice and probably the only good part of my visit. The nurse taking my history and vitals was rude. When I told her my symptoms have been around for a week she rudely questioned, "A week?" Uh yeah? I'm an adult (though I look kinda like a teenager) working 40 hours a week and I'm only here taking time out of my busy schedule so I can see what's going on and if I need meds to help.
Anyways, she moves me to another room but I had to use the bathroom pretty badly so I had to excuse myself before I was seen by the doctor. After 10-15 minutes or so I'm seen by the doctor and walks in saying "Dr. Hohl." No good morning? Hi? Or is that extra? Well, she asks what's up does a 20 second assessment listening to my lungs and looking at my ears (no lymph nodes??) and says she's going to give me a Rx for antibiotics only because my symptoms haven't improved after a week. Few minutes later the same nurse hands me the prescription and no medication education whatsoever other than "Here your prescription. Get better." Some discharge teaching, huh? If I ever did that to any of my patients I'd be in deep doo doo just saying. Eh at least I know what to do.
Anyways I understand you guys are busy but it wouldn't hurt to y'know have some sort of bedside manner? But to anyone going here you've been warned.
Also get here early if you reeeeeally have to.
