| - Very easy shoulder MRI experience at SimonMed Chandler.
And I say this as a highly claustrophobic person!
Some things I loved - Or at least things I can remember from being sedated ;) :
1. My doctor was able to prescribe me 20mg Valium.
Seriously, people. Don't ever let any person or doctor make you feel less than because you're claustrophobic. This will make the experience less terrifying, or not at all.
2. There is WEEKEND AVAILABILITY due to their proximity to the Chandler Regional Medical Center.
I didn't have to take time off of work, nor did my husband to drive a sedated human. Great success.
3. Payment Plans!
Gosh, if you're able to pay for an entire expensive procedure up front (and I don't mean slapping it on your close to maxed out credit card), you are very blessed.
The last time I had to have an MRI I was absolutely blindsided with having to pay the entire amount the day of.
Not here. Able to split into two payments.
4. Technologist with exceptional bedside manner.
I forgot the name of the guy working on 6/16/18 around 9AM, but SimonMed ... Do what you can to retain this dude.
He wasn't a toolshed to my husband (Who got to stay in the room), and even accommodated my request to cover my eyes with a cloth.
You know, so there was NO chance of me opening my eyes and seeing how enclosed I was.
Afterward, I was given a disc (for my own keeping), a survey, and sent on my way.
Overall, clean facility and a smooth experience for having to do something I'm not a fan of.
If your referring physician sends you to this location of SimonMed, you're in good hands.
