| - Tried this place for the first time tonight. Had a voucher for $15 off two meals, although the voucher technically did not read that way. This led to the bill being $25 for coke, burger and tip. Not trying to be a jerk about the voucher, but my husband didn't feel well and really didn't want food. The voucher read, "offer valid for two or more with purchase of entrée" (not entrees). He had to order something to get the $15 off. On a busy night--or a Friday/Saturday, I can see enforcing it, but again, the voucher didn't read that way...and I am a fast eater. We weren't going to be there long, taking up a table with a small bill. (Plus, we are the types that will tip extra if one of us skips ordering...)
It is a cute place, but the staff did not seem engaged. The food was just food--not much flavor and certainly nothing special. I am perplexed by the high marks I see...again, it was just food, not memorable and certainly not reasonable, as some alluded to. The burger was $12.95--the quality was not at that level. I don't mind paying those prices, but you had better deliver. Nothing comes with the pasta for $16.95--no bread, salad, etc. The best flavor as part of my burger was the bun and the ketchup. Certainly not a place I would return.
Also, being new customers who presented the mailed voucher, you would think they would try to impress. Also the voucher read "Present for a little something else." We never received 'a little something else'. I am not trying to sound like a senior who demands a bargain, but I just wasn't up for asking about it. Again, as new customers who bit on your marketing campaign....I shouldn't have had to ask what my "special something" is. You have to engage customers and realize that when someone who is likely new walks in, it is an ideal opportunity to do some real-time market research. With the subpar food, it hardly matters. We won't be back.
