  • I've taken 3 R/T flights this past year form Phoenix to Hawaii and 2 of those 3 times was on Hawaiian Airlines. I've also traveled on United to/from Phoenix/Honolulu in the past. Flying on Hawaiian Airlines is a completely different experience than flying on the other airlines. I can honestly say that there is a true feeling of the Aloha Spirit during each and everyone of their flights that I've been on. The seating is more comfortable compared to other airlines, they even have an adjustable head rest so that you don't lean on your neighbors shoulder if you fall asleep. I'm pretty sure that Hawaiian is the only airline that does not charge you for your in-flight meal and the meals have always been tasty. They also offer additional snacks for purchase. Hawaiian Airlines has an electronic pad filled with movies, TV shows, games and more that is available to rent during your flight. I highly recommend renting it because it makes your flight go by a lot faster. If you rent it at the gate it is only about $10 for the duration of the flight and they deliver it to your seat after take off. The rates are very comparable to other airlines unless you book a one way ticket. They also have a very user friendly app for your smartphone. Happy travels!
