| - I will attempt to make this review short as I don't want to go on ranting and raving (although I could). More than anything I want to advise anyone looking for apartments in this area to continue looking! We rented for a year that was full of constant troubles. The apartments themselves are fine and in fair condition, which makes sense as they will keep your entire deposit and charge you what they can no matter what you do! If I could give this property zero stars I definitely would!
Most recently we reached out to see what had happened with our deposit post move-out as we had never heard anything. We left the office with a mailing address, 2 email addresses, and 2 phone numbers should they need to contact us for anything. We also paid for the service that allows the post office to forward all mail for a year. We have had no trouble receiving any mail apart from the information from the rental property. We were told we owed another $64 after all of the other fees listed below. We would have gladly paid this to be done with this company, but they say the the letter was returned to them so they sent it to collections. They never attempted to call, email, or send an additional notice and would not have even notified us that this was happening. I know business is business, but c'mon! Anyway, there is not much we can do about it now except hope that our credit hasn't been hurt much. Very frustrating.
Apart form this here are the pros and cons:
PROS:
-The apartment looks nice
-You will get all smiles from the staff while they are putting that knife right in your back
-It is convenient to some nicer areas
CONS:
-Dogs are very noisy
-Leash and dog waste rules are NEVER enforced
-There are feral cats and cat poo everywhere
-Freeway noise, construction noise, and constant landscaping noises are unbearable
-We had 2 domestic violence issues with police involved just in our little building in the 1 year that we were there.
-Financially feasible upfront, but watch out for the back end
-They will not explain any charges or anything to you other than "It is company policy"
-Every single time it rains there are crazy leaks and all of our neighbors had same issues
Those are the most pressing things, but if you choose to live here- GOOD LUCK!
Extras we had to pay for: ($200 nonrefundable pet fee, $200 pet deposit, $25 extra per month for pet, $150 move in deposit, $500 transfer fee when we wanted to rent a bigger place*, $200 more nonrefundable pet fee, $200 pet deposit.) I am pretty sure that is all the correct numbers. Of course I could have remembered a few incorrectly and I am sure I forgot some extras too.
The $500 literally paid for them to transfer nothing! We ended up signing a brand new lease (keeping us there longer) and paying all new deposits, losing all of our previous deposits.
