| - There are some words we can't say in our house, because our dog is way too smart for his own good. "Doggie District" and "Day Care" are right up there with "Car Ride" and "Treat". If you utter those words, he will run to the door, tug at his leash, and do his little corgi butt wiggle "Nownownownownownow..." dance.
So that's how he feels about Doggie District. We've been taking our pooch here 1-3 times a week when our schedules get crazy, and he's boarded there for 5 days when we were out of state for a family thing. I'm pretty sure he thinks its his second home, and the peace of mind we have leaving him with people we know care, and he loves is pretty priceless.
When he comes home, he usually falls asleep in the car before we can hit the highway. Even if the Portal of Wonder (read as: window) is open, he's exhausted from a day of hogging the pool, and romping like a lunatic.
Fun perks! They send photos of your dog playing now and again when they're at Daycare, and every single day when they are being boarded. See what I meant about peace of mind?
They also have random silly events for the dogs every few days; chicken snow cones, or frozen pineapple chunks...yeah, our dog loves this place.
The staff has been absolutely phenomenal for us; One night when my husband had to deal with a medical crisis at work, he was going to be late to pick up our pup. We did not want to be sans dog all weekend. At all. So he called ahead, warned that he might be up to 10 minutes late, pending traffic, and the wonderful person on staff offered to wait or him. She ended up not needing to, but it's that sort of attitude that keeps us trusting and loving this place.
