  • I hate to dump on such an old, classic hotel - but it is one of the most tired places I've ever stayed. As other reviewers have echoed, the common spaces are very grand indeed. But, our room was almost hilariously tiny and had that unmistakable odour of a former smoking suite. Faded, nicked and torn wallpaper and poor lighting. The staff were fine, but it was disappointing to be staying in hotel that looked more exhausted then a roadside motel. The location can't be beat, but keep your expectations low.
