I am giving this 2.5 stars.
I REALLY wanted to like it, I really did. I was so excited to try Alice Fazooli's when I first saw an advertisement for it in Jack Astor's. I love Jack Astor's, who doesn't? And a place like Jack Astor's that specialized in pasta? I was really excited.
When we got there it was packed and I didn't make reservations but I was seated immediately when we opted for a table in the bar. The waiter was very knowledgable and helpful and I liked the cups that the water came in, they were the wine glasses without the stems!
Our waiter told us how the pasta was shipped from Niagara Region and how there was a famous chef there that night (I'm not a big enough foodie to know who it was).
Anyways, that got me even more pumped for my meal.
My boyfriend ordered a sausage pasta and I got a chicken linguini on the menu.
His honestly tasted like an overpriced can of beefaroni, only a little worse, and I disliked mine so much I didn't even take it home.
It was disappointing but our server was really great and although I didn't try the drinks, I think I would revisit for dessert and drinks in the summer. He said the patio was really fun and I'm willing to give that a try in the future.
