  • It's really sad that such a poor rating is merited here as the new management has clearly invested significant money to improve the gym. Lots of new equipment, updated pool, new flooring, new kids area. But there are several issues that would just take so little money to fix I can't understand why they won't address them when dropping all of this coin on the place: 1) Today like half the fans are off. The front desk person says they are broken. Seriously? You can fix all of these fans for less than the cost of half of one of these machines that they've bought at least 70 of. This makes a HUGE difference in there. 2) TV's - Finally recently after months put the network label on them. But they don't put the FM station that they're tuned to on the TV so you have to hunt for it (and sometimes they change them around). They don't do a good job of sorting out what to put on which TV (they'll have one highly popular station on two TV's that both point into one corner of the gym where like 4 people can see it.... both of them pointed in the same corner!). They also don't do a good job of finding a proper space on the FM dial that isn't occupied by a radio station to put the TV stations so you aren't listening to somebody trying to sell you a car simultaneously/over the top of the TV audio as you're trying to watch the news or the game on the TV. 3) Radio - won't cost a dime... the other peoples' observations about the inappropriate radio stations and volume are 100% accurate. Stick it on a pop station that adheres to FCC guidelines for appropriate material and keep the volume modest. I have to turn my iPod volume to maximum so I don't have to listen to the garbage they pump in there. At this rate I'm going to be deaf in about another month. 4)This one is harder and will cost some money.... STAFF. I swear that I thought the staff they had before really could not have gotten much worse, but I was so wrong. All the old staff is out now and the new staff doesn't care, they aren't engaged, the could care less when you try to give them suggestions (like the ones above), you'll get excuses that are obviously being made up on the spot (just admit that you don't know or don't have a good answer). I've also seen clearly inappropriate behavior by staff, I'm not going to get into the specifics. Recommend you treat the gym as an unsupervised/unmanned facility and that will be your best bet. Don't ask for anything, don't expect anything, and you won't be disappointed. This all pretty much has me on the brink of bailing. The ONLY reason I'm staying right now is the price, but that will only last for so long. I have to confess, I don't understand what the current management is doing... it's like they want to fail... invest a ton of money and then don't do the simple customer service basics that seal the deal. I gave the gym higher marks before because of the peripherals I listed above. even though the equipment was older, etc. The only reason I give it two stars is price.... otherwise we'd be at one. But you get what you pay for.... and you're not paying for much here. There is no way this place survives with the increase in cost basis they just incurred with all the new equipment and the drop off in customer service. The string of poor reviews recently are accurate. I would not expect them to be around long-term. I'm actually posting this here in hopes that the management team might actually pay attention, because it is clear that when you relay feedback to them through the employees nothing happens.
