  • There will never be a visit to NE Ohio that doesn't include a stop at Malley's. There's no other chocolate like it. And it's a family tradition that goes back many many years, which I have made into a tradition with my own Ohio expatriate family. I had a problem with a box I bought the other day. I found the chocolate had gone white. It may have been partially my fault for leaving it in the car. However, the clerk was really attentive, and was able to exchange me a new box. The only problem I have is that the boxes come prewrapped in seasonal paper. Which is probably no concern to anyone in the world but me. But I think it would be far more efficient to offer an equal quantity of inventory shrink-wrapped in plastic. I mean, the Malley's logo on the cream box is iconic! Recognizable from a distance! I feel like Malley's is really missing out on an opportunity to capitalize on their reputation. Not to mention the added comfort of a tamper-evident packaging. The guy I worked with today kindly rewrapped the box I bought with a less specific paper and gave me a Malley's shopping bag to use as a gift bag in lieu of a more visible logo on the box. He was remarkably patient with my anxiety, and I wish I could name him specifically for you.
