  • I'm so old that I remember when Cafe Campus used to be located on Queen Mary many moons ago. Local residents complained about the noise and thus somewhere in the early 1990s, they relocated to Prince Arthur. In the 1970s it was a big disco and glam rock place. In the 1980s, they used to play a lot of British New Wave, post-punk and alternative. In the 1990s, it moved towards grunge. I've seen bands like Lush, Slowdive, Elastica and Love and Rockets here. The place is huge and these days, full of students, cheap booze but the music isn't that great anymore. They should have more nostalgia nights.
