I didn't have the best experience. I needed a $300 desk built and two large metal filing cabinets mounted to the wall in my office building.
I was rescheduled to the next day which was fine because I'm flexible.
The first guy who came out talked a lot, kept mentioning that the instructions for my desk were like "IKEA" instructions. Both of my superiors walked in to check things out and he mentioned it to them too which I found unprofessional. I could have put the desk together myself, but had to much work to do so I hired them. If I wanted to hear complaining, I would have had my husband install it.
The filing cabinets which were $600 were not level. I had only put a few bank deposit slips in there and it already started coming off the wall. I needed it to withstand weight and had went over this before the service was provided. I gave them dimensions, material type and let them know that it needed to be mounted to withstand weight. The first guy couldn't find the studs, he didn't mount them in the studs either even after he found them. He also left a hole on the wall from the original drill hole and didn't patch it. He was a nice guy and I hate complaining when it comes to someone's profession and income, but I had to get it fixed.
I called the owner who was very quick to call me back and was extremely professional and nice. I went over with the owner that we needed at least 2-4 more holes and hardware to hold the weight and also they needed to be put in a stud. He ended up sending out a different person who was very nice and more professional.
The second guy who came out finished the job, but did not vacuum the floor or the inside of the shelves. He did sparkle the hole. The shelves are still holding up, but they aren't level and it's obvious when you look at them. I've had clients make comments. The desk looks great.
Because the project took longer than they anticipated, it took over a week to complete because of their busy schedule. I do feel like I should have been prioritized more after the first reschedule and the issues that arose.
The service cost me half of what I spent on the actual products and for that price I expected more. The owner was great, but the service wasn't up to par.
