| - I don't write reviews often, but think it's worth the time to endorse Stell Roofing. Here are the reasons.
1. They respond in time.
When I first contacted them last November, Mike responded to my email after like 2 seconds. It's a sincere polite note stating that their schedule was fully packed for 2 1/2 months that he couldn't take my case. Considering spring is the best time for the roof shingles to seal, I pause requesting contractor and restarted in the mid April. I contacted several roofers rated top on Yelp. I got the quote the next day I contacted Mike. Some other contractors reply 2-3 days and tell me I need to wait for another week to get quote. I passed them and save them time all together. If it takes days or weeks just to get a quote, how long do I need to wait for them to start work and finish work. I only pick a few who can respond quickly at this stage.
2. They are transparent in they quote and provide all necessary files and documents in advance.
When I request quote, my expectation is a price and a list of task and materials. Some contractors failed, some meets. Stell exceeds it with all the details, FAQ and terms, their license and insurance. I like to educate myself on almost everything work I do, investment I make and of course house project I will have done. When I have questions, I go back to review the material Mike sent me and 99 out of 100 I can find the answer. They are also specify what types of shingles, underlayment they would use, what specific standard to use to decide if a plywood need replaced. etc. Their price is not the lowest, but definitely the highest quality/price.
3. They did their job well and efficiently.
As the land lord living out of state, the thing I worry most is my property is damaged, or the tenants complain, during the construction time. Stell group replace the roof within one day and provide 7 years workmanship warranty. They don't even ask for a money upfront. Yes, they pay for the material with their money. I can see how confident they are with their work quality and they didn't fail me. Because they did it within one day, the tenants were happy.
4. They did minor repairs not included in the quote for free.
I would expect contractors or handymen replacing something unnecessary and charge me an extra fee. Stell did the opposite. During the reroofing, they came across only one damaged plywood and replaced it for free. Even if I convinced them I would like to pay for all necessary replacement of the plywood, they assured me that's the only one needs replaced. This is definition of honesty that is rare case nowadays.
I like Stell Roofing and all businesses like them, because they don't work or do business just for money, they endeavor to make their name a brand. I believe you will find Stell reliable and trustworthy, so save yourself time of searching, worry about leaking nightmare in the future, and go with Stell.
