| - I stayed here for two years. My first place all to myself (look Ma, no roommates!) since moving up from SoCal. I would have left sooner but they had an iPod giveaway for early renewal, so... Seriously though, three leasing agencies had set up shop in the brief time that I had stayed there. First it was RMI, then Greystar, then Graycorp. In the initial months of my final year they decided to become a condo conversion, so almost every week there were constant "inspections" on the pretext of "safety" and "fire checks" but in reality, management would bring people into the apartment units regardless of whether they had owner's permission to enter and show the units to potential buyers.
In March 2006 alone I had 12 separate entries; when I went to the leasing office to complain about it I found I wasn't alone as many other tenants were fed up with this blatant disregard of the "relative peace" section of the standard lease.
When my friends bought a house and needed help covering costs, I decided to bail despite still having 6 months left on my lease. I've had my fill of the paper-thin walls (I could hear my upstairs neighbor cough at times, when they're not fucking like syphillitic bunnies...at least that never lasted very long. I'd crank my subwoofers with something extra double-bassy, like Fear Factory or Meshuggah, to mask the disgusting slobbering zombie-esque sounds), nonexistent service, increasing "fees," and rude-ass office personnel.
They wanted to double-bill me another $1700 in "early termination" fees because (I shit you not) "It says so on our computer." I laughed in her face and shot back "Well if I bring in MY computer, it doesn't say anything of that nature, so I guess we're even." Then they called me back a week later saying my Security Deposit check was waiting for me.
I'm thinking, didn't I forfeit that when I terminated early? Whatever, I have to hit LVAC Southeast anyway, let's go.
I drove down there from a meeting in North LV in midday traffic, and what's waiting for me when I get there? Not pastries and blowjobs, but instead.....more fussing about the supposed $1700 I owed. I'm somewhere between Hitler and Caligula at this point, at the bait-and-switch, and promise to make it my Life's Work to damn and shame them to hell and back.
But then more important things like Jager and exams got in the way, so I had to detach and move on. I haven't forgiven, and I haven't forgotten.
NOTE: In this case, the one star represents my fervent hope that someday Pinehurst will become a nuclear weapons test site. They're really lower than the dogshit that litters the grounds.
I vented a wee bit over here a while back:

As you can see, I'm not the only one who hates this fucking place. Even the most dedicated masochist would be appalled.
