It's bulking season for me so, I took an empty table for 4 which got me a funny look from the server. I'm hungry and I want pho...and all the food. Don't judge me.
It's a small Vietnamese restaurant in the same complex as 168 Market. It's clean and doesn't smell funny. But you get the same cold treatment that you would expect from any Asian restaurant.
Cha Gio:
Egg rolls with shrimp, chicken and pork. Hot, crispy and meat-filled fried rolls you wrap in lettuce and dip in that vinegar + fish sauce goodness. 4/5
Pho Tai Nam Gau:
Beef vermicelli noodle soup with rare steak, flank and brisket. The meats were a bit too fatty compared to most places and I'm not a fan of animal fat. However, the broth was good. Next time, I'll get something with with just the rare steak (pho tai). 3.5/5
Bun Cha Gio Ga Nuong:
Vermicelli bowl with egg rolls and charbroiled pork. I love this and pho. It's really tough to pick one over the other so, I had both. I was supposed to save this for dinner but I'm not a procrastinator so, I ate it like there's no tomorrow. 4/5
For all the food I got, I only paid about $27.
